چکیده
The aim of this note is to explore the interplay between eikonal resummation in impact-parameter space and exponentiation infrared divergences momentum for gravity amplitudes describing collisions massive objects. governs classical dynamics relevant two-body problem, its properties are directly linked zero-frequency limit gravitational wave emission spectrum radiation-reaction effects. Combining exponentiations it possible derive these at a given loop order starting from lower-loop data. This illustrated explicitly $\mathcal{N}=8$ supergravity general relativity by deriving divergent part two-loop tree-level one-loop elastic amplitudes.

Infrared divergences and non - lightlike eikonal lines in Sudakov processes
We propose a method to analyze infrared contributions to non-inclusive processes in QCD. We use the Sudakov form factor as a working example. Borrowing techniques from renormalization theory, we construct “counterterms” for the contributions from the soft and collinear regions, and we relate them to eikonal Wilson lines taken along non-lightlike directions. We illustrate the method with explici...

متن کاملThe Equivalence Theorem and infrared divergences
We look at the Equivalence Theorem as at a statement about the absence of polynomial infrared divergences when mW → 0. We prove their absence in a truncated toy model and conjecture that, if they exist at all, they are due to couplings between light particles. ∗e–mail: [email protected]
متن کاملEliminating Infrared Divergences in the Pressure
The pressure of a system in thermal equilibrium is expressed as a mass integral over a sum of thermal propagators. This allows a Dyson resummation and is used to demonstrate that potential infrared divergences are rendered harmless. The perturbative treatment of finite-temperature quantum field theories involving massless bosonic fields always faces infrared divergences starting at a certain lo...
متن کاملInfrared Divergences in dS/CFT
dS/CFT gives a perturbatively gauge invariant definition of particle masses in de Sitter (dS) space. We show, in a toy model in which the graviton is replaced with a minimally coupled massless scalar field, that loop corrections to these masses are infrared (IR) divergent. We argue that this implies anomalous dependence of masses on the cosmological constant, in a true theory of quantum gravity...
